現地までの移動編：ロンド・ファン・フラーンデレンに行ってきました(チャリかついで(笑))　[レース観戦] [編集]

会社で20年も働いていると、褒章休暇のようなものがいただけたりします。ウチの場合。旅行券もついてたりするので、ここは何かせねば･･･と思っていたのですが、いつも通り無計画です。しかしながら、Twitterで「その日程ならフランドルイケんじゃね？」的なTweetを受け、フムフム、調べてみると･･･イケる!と思い立ったのです。

世界一好きなワンデーレース。というか、ステージレースよりワンデー好きなので、世界一好きな自転車ロードレースと言っても過言ではありませんこのロンド・ファン・フラーンデレン(メンドウなので、以下RVV=Ronde van Vlaanderen)。いつかは見たいと思ってましたが、全然土地勘がありません。ってかベルギー初めてです。ってかヨーロッパは以前ル・マン24時間レースを見に行っただけでアレもパリとル・マンの往復だけだったので、分かりません。しかも、RVVの行われる町も･･･アウデナールデ?オーデナールデ?うーん全然知らん!ってな事ですが、そんな不安一杯な旅行ながらも、ホテルから何から自前で調達という暴挙。Booking.comさん、結構使えました。現地の電車もネットで確認。チケットは････時間切れで日本で調達できず。現地のカウンターで買う羽目になるのですが、これが後々メンドウな事に(笑)

何はともあれ、長岡から所沢経由で成田空港まで。行く前に所沢の自宅でビデオ予約(笑)

移動当日は徹夜となりましたが、ヒコーキで寝れるし、体内時計を狂わしとくのも時差ぼけ対策には有効です(笑)。特に今回は仕事じゃないのでネ。

というわけでチャリを担いで、いざ出国！

そして、なんと成田空港で新兵器購入！(なぜ成田なのかは聞かないで下さい(笑))

海外輪行はこれが初めて。聞くところによると結構頑丈な梱包で持っていく人もいるようですが、自分は今回チャリでの移動も含めて考えているので、かなり薄手の輪行バッグで行きました。そして航空会社のこんなモノにも署名。

まぁ、シクロクロス車でアルミだし、頑丈だし、JAL様だから大丈夫でしょう。ってなコトでサクサクっとチェックイン。

ヒコーキ。コイツで一路パリまでひとっ飛び！

ハイ、パリです。

チャリの方は通常のバゲッジクレームの場所ではなく、オーバーサイズの専用カウンターから。JALの職員の方が、親切にもオーバーサイズカウンターの場所を日本語で教えてくれました。

さて、ここから日本語とは無縁の世界へ(笑)。カタコト英語を駆使するワケですが、まぁメンドウなコトがここでひとつ。

パリ到着から、ベルギー移動ですが、TGVで行きます。

緑の色が目印の長蛇の列です。長いです。予定発車時刻が刻々と迫る中、ちょっとあせりながら、「あ～もうムリだ」という思いがよぎります。そしてこともあろうに、ちょうど発車時刻になった時にチケットカウンターまでたどり着いてしまいました。すると････

「TGV？ここじゃねーよ！」

との職員の方の冷たい視線(笑)。実は今見返すとちゃんと写真には撮っていたのに･･･

緑のほうじゃなくて、ピンクの方がTGVのカウンターでした(泣)。こっちのカウンターはやる気のなさげな感じの人がカウンターにいて、時折客が来るくらいのガラガラ。やってんのかどうかもわからん位だったので、完全にノーマークでした。ってか自分よく見て行けよ！って感じです。

これで完全に一本後の電車。しかも行き先はBruxelles Midiという駅で、二時間に一本しか走ってないので、要はパリ・シャルル・ドゴール空港で二時間待ち。まぁ、事前にこの一本逃してもなんとか着けるコトは確認済みだったのでそこまで焦りませんでしたが、もし不慣れで行かれる方は、日本でのチケット購入を激しくオススメします。

ってなコトもありましたが、しょうがないのでPAULでmgmg

しかしパリも寒い！TGVのプラットフォームに10分いると凍えそうでした。

そんでもって、TGVいらっしゃーい。

しかし、チケット見て、どこの車両の何番の席かようわからん(笑)。しかもTGVが到着するプラットフォームを間違え、車両が入ってきてから別のプラットフォームに移動する有様。

駅職員に「これって何両目に乗ればいいの？」と聞いてみたところ
「まぁなんでもいいから今すぐ乗れ！車両は6号車だ！あとは車内で移動しろ!!」
ってな感じで車両に詰め込まれました(笑)。それからTGVの車内を重い自転車担ぎながら「Excuse me」を連発しながら4両ほど移動。これが一番キツカッタ(笑)。

その後のために、チケットにマークしちゃいましたよ。

左の丸が車両。右の丸が座席を示してます。ここくらい英語で書いて欲しいところですが･･･日本のJRのチケットに比べたらナンボかマシかもしれませんな。

で、なんとかBruxelles Midiに到着。(どうやらブリュッセル南駅というらしい、というのを帰国後に確認(笑))

ここで乗り換え。ここから Gent-Sint-Pieters‎という駅まで。うーんどこに乗りゃいいのかもわからん･･･と思って電光掲示板を見れば、一応「GENT」の文字が。フムフム････という事で当該ホームに行きます。

Gent-Sint-Pieters‎の文字が！ウム、間違いない。という事でこの車両に。

ところでこの車両、恐らくはRVVに行くのであろう人もこんな格好で乗ってます(駅のホームです)

チャリをそのまま乗せてイイのか････うむ、自分も帰りにやってみようと思うのでした。

車両はTGVが新幹線なら、このブリュッセル～ヘント行きの電車はL特急(とは今は言わないのか(笑))のようなもの。席がソコソコあいていたので、4席占有。

30分くらいで Gent-Sint-Pieters‎駅へ到着。

到着したはいいものの、駅前にあるホテルを探すのに四苦八苦(笑)。ホント駅の目の前にあったのに!!なんだかんだと移動時間はハンパなかったのですが、なんとか到着。この時間だからお店はどこもしまってる･･･と思いきや、

なんとNIGHT SHOPというまんまの店名のお店が！ちょっと小腹もすいたので、
「ベルギーといえばワッフルでしょ」
という事で、ワッフル二枚購入。

巨大だった････想像してたより一回りでかかった(笑)。

とりあえずトラブルもあったものの、なんとかお宿につけたので幸いでした。翌日はレース観戦本番。さっさと寝るコトにしました。
